The Computer Purchasing Centre (CPC) redistribution program has been put in place to allow resale of older computer systems to interested departments on campus. If all criteria are met the CPC will arrange to pick up your system, have it wiped clean of any data and perform a fresh install of the operating system.
Your system will be listed on the CPC redistribution web page for purchase by other university departments for a period of two months at a price of $150. If the system does not sell internally within two months, it will then be made available for personal purchase by faculty, staff, and students for an additional four month period at the price of $150. If the system sells within this six-month period a credit of $100 will be applied to the FOAPAL you submitted. The remaining costs cover courier, administrative, and PC Support charges. If your system is not sold within this 6 month period it will be donated to the Computers for Schools program, and no credit will be applied to your FOAPAL.
In order to qualify your system must meet these minimum system requirements:
- Pentium III 1 GHz or Apple G3 w/built in USB or equivalent.
- The system must have a keyboard, mouse, and power cable.
- The original operating system (media) must be supplied with the system.
- The system MUST be in complete working order (no failing components). |
