Why Buy Here?

If you are staff or a student of the University of Alberta, there is no better place to shop for your computer system, accessories, and software than the University MicroStore. | |
| 1. Good Price |
As part of our company culture, everything in the store is discounted for staff and students, or we have found a way to get the best price for you. Did you know that most manufacturers offer special pricing to educational institutions? We pass these special savings along to you. This can mean the best prices for many software titles, cheaper cables and accessories. Even discounts on hardware.
When you see newspaper ads claiming they'll beat anybody's price, check the fine print, chances are this doesn't include purchases made through campus resellers. If local retailers won't match educational pricing, don't you think you should check us out before you decide what and where to purchase?

2. Wide Brand Selection |
While we have some really good prices, the U of A MicroStore carries a large selection of hardware and software from such top brand name suppliers as Adobe, Apple, Asus, Corel, IBM/Lenovo, Epson, Griffin Technology, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Logitech, Samsung, Sony, Symantec, Toshiba and Viewsonic . We are your one-stop shop for all your computer needs. We also believe in brand name products because, if you are going to be relying on a computer for the next three to five years, shouldn't you be buying from a company that will be around at least as long, and will provide the best value and service?
If you find product that we don't have, we can usually bring into the store in less than 5 business days, sometimes in even as little as 1 or 2 days. Please keep in mind that some popular or rare products can take much longer. It is all up to their manufacturers.

| 3. Better Service, Better Knowledge |
By helping to assess your needs and requirements, we are able to help you make the best possible choices when it comes to computer products. At the Microstore we are trying to do our best to protect your educational experience, so that what you buy is what you need and will work. This is how the Microstore helps the University of Alberta to provide a better quality of education and workplaces for staff and students alike.
We do this by making sure you get the best honest up to date information on what products will work best for you, showing you both what you need and also explaining what you don't really need, or can purchase later if you need to. We are owned by the University of Alberta so we take service seriously and have a lot of fun doing it. And most days, it is something we do quite well, mixing the good spirits and quality service in a learning computing environment. From the most experienced to those just starting out, we are here to help.
